Tulip
I met Tulip on Sunday at the Hollywood Farmers' Market Flea.
She is from London.
I loved her sherbet hued tye-dye dresses for children, cozy summer striped jersey tunics, and softest "vegan" fur vests, perfect layering items for L.A.
As for the one-of-a-kind indigenous textiles, I wanted them all - bags, kaftans and more...
I considered one chubby, chic vest and complimented Tulip on some of her other pieces.
"Thank you sweetie," she replied. "Thank you. That means so much. This is my art."
With that, she sent me off with some incense to burn...
What a generous gypset!
