All the complicated details

of the attiring and

the disattiring are completed!

A liquid moon

moves gently among

the long branches.

Thus having prepared their buds

give them the ole' snowshoe...

"A snowshoe is footwear for walking over snow. Snowshoes work by distributing the weight of the person over a larger area so that the person's foot does not sink completely into the snow, a quality called 'flotation.'.  Snowshoeing is a form of hiking." (wikipedia)

My mother might add, "We may as well have just taken a walk!"

Although we favored neither our equipment nor the mediocre conditions, we did enjoy the surprise of local teens gathering for cross country races and managed to soak up the bright morning light and take in a bit of mountain scenery.

Vail never really disappoints...
