finally, red rooster harlem is off my nyc bucket list -- a perfect morning to join visitors from all over the world - holland, turkey, iran, texas, new jersey - for the famed food, music, art, photography and genuinely warm community spirit...

p.s. just a quick ride on the 2 train to 125th street and lenox ave and you, too, might catch boncellia lewis's soulful rendition of the spiritual "wade in the water" and the impressive guitar and vocals of 19 year old musician solomon hicks!

to market to market to Dover Street Market

finally, i ventured down to lower Lexington avenue to discover Dover Street Market , the Rei Kawakubo concept store full of luxury labels and emerging designers, each housed in individual environments to create a unique fashion habitat.

in order to process all the visual stimulation throughout the seven floors of chic and cutting edge confections, i confess i had to pause to take tea at the first floor Rose Bakery.. only thing was, i was too early for the tea menu so i made it a quiche, a latte and a slice of orange grapefruit cake...







 

 

 

 

a rose is a rose is a Rose ... i will be back for tea and maybe a CdG t, too! 

it was all heavenly, beautiful chaos, true to the vision!
