today is March1st, and true to the saying, the high wind commenced a few hours ago and is expected to reach up to 50 mph in the New York City area by morning, roaring like a lion throughout the day!
but hang in there, New York! last week, as we recovered from yet another snow, we also witnessed signs of spring:
on Wednesday, i headed to New Museum to see the major new exhibit, Grief and Grievance: Art and Mourning in America. immersive in its intergenerational response by thirty-seven artists to the realities of racist violence experienced by Black communities, it warrants its own post but i have shared a few photos here as well, as it was an important start to my day, a profound commemoration, as the artists and curators i think intended.

outside, blue skies beckoned and fresh bouquets bursting with color were an unexpected joy on a still snowy sidewalk outside Plant Shed Cafe on Bowery and Prince Street...

healing and hope, the nostalgic and the new, do seem to be in the precious air...
dear spring, please hurry!
xoxo, fashion is love
