to market to market to Dover Street Market
finally, i ventured down to lower Lexington avenue to discover Dover Street Market , the Rei Kawakubo concept store full of luxury labels and emerging designers, each housed in individual environments to create a unique fashion habitat.
in order to process all the visual stimulation throughout the seven floors of chic and cutting edge confections, i confess i had to pause to take tea at the first floor Rose Bakery.. only thing was, i was too early for the tea menu so i made it a quiche, a latte and a slice of orange grapefruit cake...

on Saturday morning, i took a walk up to The Cathedral of Saint John the Divine to see if i could find the birds i had heard were visiting .... Behold!
